Can too much sport mess up your sleeping habits??

I've been playing too much soccer these two days (just getting into the sport), easily 5 hours a day. Now my muscles are sore and I'm dead tired, but I can't sleep! I've even took nyquill to help me sleep, but it doesn't work. (normally nyquill will put me to sleep no matter what)

Anyway, I've been lying down for 3 hours now.. from 10 pm to 1 am trying to get some sleep. I wonder if this has something to do with me playing sports.. (finally living healthy ;) )

Probably a lot of excess energy that your body is burning due to your previous laziness.. 5 hours is overdoing I would say ( if you are actually playing).
