I've been getting around 9.5-10 hours a night lately, and I notice that i'm not nearly as alert or energetic as I was when I was getting 7.5-8 hours of sleep.
So can oversleeping be detrimental to your health?

YES! There was a recent study (maybe someone has the link) that people who slept 7 - 8 hours a night lived longer than those that did 9 or 10.
Of couse, the people that slept less were probably more likely to be fit, and active people, as opposed to LAZY, FAT A55es![]()

you can't get too much sleep. when your body no longer needs sleep, you wake up and won't want to go back to sleep again.

After eating, more blood is directed towards the stomach. The stomach breaks down the food and the blood carries the nutrients. I was told that is why you get tired after eating.
