Can those vibrating/shocking amusement park things cause damage?

Im talking about the ones where you hold the two steel rods with boths hands and the machine pumps the watts into the handles, making them vibrate or something. Can those cause any damage? How the hell do they work anyway?

I've touched one of those before, kinda interesting considering your hands tighten up as you grab onto it.

Not too sure on how they work, or if there's damage.. but I doubt it'd be that harmful if the public can try it out.

Not so much the watts. It just vibrates very fast. No transfer of electricity.

I took a movie of my brother on one of those devices a few weeks ago, so those confused on what they are should have a better idea after viewing the clip.

(I'm not going to post the one of my mom, though it is really funny!)

Video is encoded in DivX 5.0.3, hopefully everybody will be able to view it!

video!

The most shocking (hehe) part of that video is that people are compelled to pay money to try out the "Electric Shock Machine". What was next? The "Needles in Your Eyeballs Machine"? How much did that cost?

It was free where we were at -- basically a big "science" place with various experiments, optical illusions, lightning rods, etc. I have seen them at theme parks and they do charge 50 cents or so - definitely not worth it.

if youre talking about the one im thinking of... at disneyland... where you grasp onto the metal thing and they send a small current through it and basically i think you try to gauge how long you can hold onto it? i dont think they can make it so it'd be damaging
