He's still actively posting in the thread though and replying to PMs. I don't see why it should be locked, maybe for having an auto-updater, but that's not THAT big of a deal as long as it's timed right. Would you have noticed if all he said was Bump! each time?

What's a "therad"? Long as he actively updates it, better than the idiots who make a new post with the exact same stuff every 3 days.

Agree. I just did some random checking and he doesn't even come close to violating the bump timing rules. If he does it manually or with an auto updater, I don't see the diff.

I have always been under the impression that FS/FT was for people getting rid of their old stuff, not for runing a buisness. Take that crap to ebay.

However, there is nothing wrong with the thread itself. The bumps are always > 4 hours apart (actually 6 then 18 repeating)

You might have a point there. It is very close to a thread that is like a business; not one to sell misc hardware one has built up or decided to get rid of. In that respect is on thin ice as it is close to being a dealer thread, which is not allowed. Too close to call though and that is why we have mods. They can make that call now that the thread has undoubtedly been brought to their attention.

That and the fact he has 44 heat, 38 ebay refs. Those would be pretty small totals if he was selling much through the thread. Many post in the FS forum have a business-like tone, either by selling multiples of items or constantly rotating the items FS. What about someone who sees a good deal on 40GB HD's and buys 10 of them, intending to sell 5-8 of them for a small profit? Unless they are buying wholesale and using the forum as a storefront, the end result is good for both parties involved while not spamming the forum. A few posters (won't name names :) ) have been borderline, but I don't think this is one of those cases.

Just my worthless opinion. (would be 2 cents, but that may be too much)

Hello-

I'm not a dealer of any sort. I've just been reusing the same thread over and over again for selling things the last year and a half. Let me know if you have any questions.
