Dang, the deal fell through, the product is listed as discontinued. They must have been flooded with orders last night from everyone over in hot deals.

I checked my order status this morning and now where it had the product description it says, "discontinued". They don't even have any Elsa cards on the website.

Same thing, order says discontinued, all Elsa products gone. Will be interesting to see if any of us get one, and what they'll say if we don't.

I was just about to hit submit then thought, "There is no way in hell they are going to let this card go for this price. It would have to be $150 under cost on a good day." I just didn't know how they would do it without getting in trouble. Looks though they found a way. Bummer.

Guess what is listed again for $120.14. My order was changed from discontinued to listing the correct item number again. The inventory now reads 98. What's up???

Yep still one there. Makes me wonder if we are gonna get this thing. I have yet to receive any type of order confirmation etc. In the past when I have ordered anything on line I have gotten a confirmation almost immediately if not the same day (weekends, holidays etc included).

Hey gang,

You all talked me into it. As a matter of fact I just picked up a 32MB Radeon for $185 today. I think I'll hold on to it for a couple o'days until this deal pulls through. Fingers crossed!

Here is the response I got from Dartek

Hello,

Our apologies. Unfortunately, there was a system error that caused a wrong price to be displayed for the item below on our website.

The correct information is:
Description: GLADIAC 64MB ULTRA AGP DDR GEFORCE 2 GRAPHICS ACCELERATOR
Correct Price: $549.00 each
Mfg Part Number: 60131

The error has been corrected on our web site.

Your order has been cancelled.

Again, our apologies for the error.

Hard to believe they had a "system error" for how many days? Or was it a scam to get a lot of gamers email addresses for advertising?

Don't know if any of you remember the Hitachi monitor fiasco on buy.com...

It was a similar deal, buy.com had an at the time $600 19" Hitachi monitor on their site for like $185. I ordered one and they did the same thing. A greedy lawyer type from California filed a class action lawsuit against buy.com because the incorrect price was up for several days. His argument is that buy.com had no good system in place to detect such problems, and because of this irresponsibility buy.com customers should be compensated.

It will be cool if we get any cash out of the deal.

Ill bet they would blame it on the "Holiday". However their site listed 23 in stock for a day or two then it showed discontinued and finally went back to one in stock.....

Here is the appology I got from Dartek. If anyone does want this card they are offering it at "their cost".

We would like to apologize again for the error that occurred on our site recently regarding the Gladiac Ultra 64MB DDR-Nvidia Geforce2 video card (Manufacturer Part Number 60131). We realize that many of you are upset at that fact that the error occurred. The pricing error was an obvious mistake and that video card cannot be found anywhere for $120.14 or near that price. We did not actively promote or display the incorrect price intentionally to gather customer information nor create publicity.

With over 100,000 products and in business for over 20 years we are not in the practice of Bait-n-Switching customers. Our web site pricing is updated automatically every night and the system error that occurred caused the wrong price to be displayed for the video card. The portion of our system that caused the error has been taken off-line until we can fix the program.

We would like to offer you the Gladiac Ultra 64MB DDR-Nvidia Geforce2 video card at our cost of $487.78 for any trouble and inconvience. We will be setting the price of the video card to our cost for the month of January. Our prices may fluctuate slightly daily as our costs from our suppliers change. However, it will remain at our cost for the month of January. Here is a direct link to the video card http://www.dartek.com/gotoitem.cfm?itemno=82682

Again, we sincerely apologize for the error.

Thank you for your understanding,
dartek.com

Drop the stupid topic, I ordered one, they didn't give it to me, ALL of us knew it was an error. They would not sell a $550 Dollar Card for 120. They would lose tons of money. Seriously, if you owned a company, and some stupid blonde ho makes a typo, that could cost you thousands and thousands, wouldn't you decline the 120 dollar price? Think about it.

Just let it go, I ordered one, And I'm not getting one, I knew it from the start. So I ordered my Geforce 2 MX, it was worth a try, nothing to lose. The end. DROP THE F'N SUBJECT.

Actaeon what? You tell me if you owned the company you would not start noticing an usually heavy flow of traffic and investigate? It was over 3 days this so-called bad price was there.

The thing I think is funny, they say

"Our web site pricing is updated automatically every night and the system error that occurred caused the wrong price to be displayed for the video card." Doesn't sound like some dumb blond to me...they are implying that it was only up for one day. I was there for three days. I didn't really expect to get the card but it would have been cool.

I just think their answer is BS, I would have had more respect if they would have told me yeah we screwed up and our computer system is FUBAR and it was FUBAR for a couple days so were sorry......
