Can this CPU swap-out be successful?

I would like to change the 478 pin Celeron D 340 CPU that came with the machine - runs at 533 FSB - to a Pentium 4 2.8 that runs at an 800 FSB. I can't find any info by googling. Anyone know if it will hurt anything if it doesn't work.

P4 up to 3.2GHz 800FSB shouldn't be a problem, but may need to use the latest BIOS from Gateway (eMachines doesn't offer any BIOS updates for this board):
