Can this Corsair memory fit?

Can a Corsair 2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz ram fit with a cooler master 212 and a ASRock n68c-s ucc??

Hello johnny,

Yes, DDR3 1600MHz RAM will fit. However, your motherboard supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory. Both DDR2 and DDR3 will not work simultaneously.

Having said that you should know DDR3 memory is only supported by installing AM3 processors*: AMD Phenom™ II X6 / X4 / X3 / X2 / Athlon II X4 / X3 / X2 / Sempron. Only these processors support DDR3 memory.

So check your processor model name against this list and see if it supports DDR3.

If the processor supports DDR3 then check if the existing memory is DDR2 or DDR3. If it is the former then to install DDR3 you will have to remove the DDR2 memory.

Check the above link for the specifications of your motherboard.

If you need any more information let me know. Good luck with the upgrade.
