Hiya.. this is a long shot but I'm wondering if any of you know something I don't.

My PC is upstairs and my bigscreen TV I'd love to play some games on is downstairs. It's only seperated by about 20 feet if you could go straight through the floor and have cables hanging in mid-air (i don't want this ;p)

I was wondering if there was any device out there on the market.. that would allow me to transmit mouse, keyboard, possibly game controller, and video signals via wireless ?

if there's something out there that can only do part of what i'm wishing for I'd love to know about it too. Maybe I wouldn't mind passing one long s-video cable around the house.. but I'm not sure having 100ft long keyboard/mouse cables is such a good idea.

and on a side note.. off-topic question here.. how do you call those devices again that allow you to use 1 set of keyboard/mouse/monitor on several computers? and it does the switch automatically or a the touch of a keyboard key? i forgot their name

thanks all!

Look for wireless KVM extenders, they tend to be expensive but should cover everything but your joystick.

also im reading the best video it can support is 1024x768 24-bit at 30FPS .. so it's a no-go for gaming

on a side note... let's say I do decide to extend cables... would having 75-100 feet long ps2 extension cables and usb cables cause any slowdown or would it work at all? I think the s-video signal would get through just fine but i'm not sure about the gamepad/mouse/keyboard.

let's say they're all usb2.0.. does the signal go for 100 feet?

Edit : Could you point me to such a long distance wired KVM? hopefully one that supports multiple USB, s-video and audio
