Can this be done with moveabletype?

I'm thinking of creating the backend myself, but why reinvent the wheel.
I'm looking for a simple blogging tool. However, I would like to make a personal website,
but i dont like to use the moveabletype templates.

My friend uses blogger.com and she was able to incorporate her blogs from blogger.com into
her customized homepage. no, it's not hosted by blogger, she tells me it's a feature that blogger
offers.

i was wondering if MT allows the same.

The backend of mt is either e berkely db or mysql. I like mysql quite a bit personally. The templates are really just style sheets so you're free to edit them how ever you want. The templates are pretty much a sytle sheet and an index file so you can customize both however you like. Go ahead and make install and take a look at the templates section and you'll see how easy they are to modify

yea - i see what you are saying.

what she did was ... created an account with blogger.com and has her blog there.
and she has her personal site at herdomain.com

herdomain.com is pure html and has various links to different sections (i.e. pics, about, friends, blog)

when you click on her blog link, it automatically pulls the blogs she inputted into blogger.com
