Ok, so I thought it was pretty cool that you could fork over 10% of your rebate check, and get it back within a week. So I did it, thought I would try out this onrebate thing.

Had two rebates from Outpost.com. Sent them in, paid 10% of each check. One was $25, one was $50.

What had me really excited was that they sent me 2 checks back, but one was for $45.50, and the other was for $50, a little over twice of what I should have got.

Needless to say, I hurriedly went and cashed both the checks, reaping the rewards.

Fast forward 2-3 weeks later, now, and you find my checking account ~$25 in the whole. I come to find out that while I was on vacation, they figured out their mistake, and wont honor the check.

Now I get to pay a $5 fee for being overdrawn, and, as far as I can tell, no rebate check.

Can they really just pull this on me? Is there something I need to know before I call them tommorow?

BTW: I am still in high school, my account is usually that low.

Yes. You took their money without a right to do so.
