Can the X ray machines at the airport damage my computer?

if i just send it through once or twice? this includes my data and bios chips too

It's highly unlikely. The fact that most machines are ok when you put photographic film through them would suggest that damage would not occur.

I work at an airport and my mobile phone and PDA go through the X-ray machines anywhere up to about a dozen times a day for the last 2 years and both still work fine.

The X-ray machines are unlikely to do any harm.

However, there are anecodatal reports that long-distance flight may cause corruption on some flash memories.

Well, I've been transporting my desktop across from UK to Malaysia and back several times for the past 4 years and its never ever been an issue.
