Can the 'Reading List' tab be removed in Safari 7.0?

I have been using Safari for like forever and for my needs it works just fine, however I have found something about Safari 7.0 that I do not like. I have like a million 'Bookmarks' so I leave them open most of the time but I do not use the 'Reading List' tab at all and it would be nice if I could completely get rid of it. Can the 'Reading List' tab be removed in Safari 7.0?

What exactly are you referring to? Could you post a screenshot with the item circled? Are you talking about the Reader button in the address bar?

Ok, I have no idea, then. What's the harm, doesn't it default to your bookmarks when you click the bookmarks button?

That is true, I am just kind of a neat freak and it would be nice to get rid of that ugly pair of glasses and "Reading List" which I have no use for. I guess if I actually wore glasses it wouldn't be so bad.:p
