I know that the old lower end Pentium M proc could be pinmodded, and I just picked up a 1.5 ghz core solo proc and I was wondering if this new line of processors can be pin modded as well.

If they can, does anyone have a link to a tutorial? I couldn't google one. Thanks

They might be able to, if they are sold at various FSB. With pinmodding you go from one "official" FSB to another. There probably aren't any tutorials, but Intel's usually happy to tell you how. What you do is to go to developers.intel.com and download their technical papers on your CPU, and then look up the FSB detect pins (traditionally labeled BSEL0 and BSEL1).

The highest FSB they could be modded to would be 667mhz FSB, if it's already running at that bus speed, there are no higher bsel mods available. If it's running at 533, you can most likely pin mod it to 667, so long as the motherboard supports that bus speed.

hmm, the seller told me that it was 667 mhz, so I guess it is not pinmodable unless he has wrong. I think it is an oem cpu as I couldn't find a retailer selling any 1.5ghz core solos. Thanks for the help.
