From the email:
"In addition, each product key can only be used with one computer."
So I'm wondering if it really means that it's tied to one computer or if it's tied to 1 Windows 8 OS product key.
What I'd like to do is set up and activate Win 8 on a temporary hard drive now (since the free offer expires Jan 31) on my current desktop and then activate the Media Center Key, and then swap back to my original Vista/7 hard drive. If I decide later to triple boot the original hard drive with Win 8 (which means installing Win 8 again), I'd like to reuse that same Media Center Key that was used on the temporary hard drive. Additionally, I'm hoping that if I later buy a different system and wipe Win 8 off the current one, that the media center key will still be tied to it but I don't know if that's how it works
