Can the BFG 6800GT OC (PCI-E) be overclocked further?

I'm wondering if the BFG 6800GT OC (PCI-E) could be overclocked further. My 3dMark05 scores seem a tad bit low but that's because I'm running PC2700 RAM (I've already posted in the motherboard forum asking how I can tweak my A8N-SLI motherboard and DRAM timings...)

I'd still like to squeeze a little bit more performance out of my graphics card if possible, so can this be done? Is it even worth doing?

Thanks for any advice...

Probably, yes. But, every card is different. Give it a shot in small increments (like 5-10mhz) and see what you can get out of it.

You can OC any card more than stock...some will go higher than others... I have two BFG 6800GT PCI-E's... If they are in my system individually one can get around 420core 1180mem the other 430core 1200mem... Although if you run certain games at thoose speeds it will crash. However less demanding games run fine.

If I have them set up in SLI mode I can pull a MAX of 410core 1100mem... But even then sometimes D3 crashes under a superoverclocked setup... It is highly likely that i could push them up higher if I had more JUICE in my PSU, but I have 30amps on the 12v line and not very many other PSU's that aren't over $200 have a greter amperage on the 12v rail.

Slash196: JUST pc3200?!?!?!?

MonkeyDust: Do you know where I can get some?
