Can the AVIVO on an AMD X1950 Pro encode DivX files?

Is there a plugin for this tool that will allow me, all I have an option for is DivX compatible or did AMD not license the DivX tech for their CCC?

I don't think there are any plugins for the AVIVO video converter and I think all the formats are generic, device compatable formats. Basically it's just a transcoder utility to quickly convert almost any video to a format that will play in any of your devices rather than a advanced encoder.

I'd love to see encoder plugin support for the AVIVO transcoder utility, but I'll bet you'll always have to rely instead on 3rd party software encoder support, just like the advanced AVIVO decoder support in PowerDVD, Nero Showtime or WMP.

Glancing through the DIVX site, I didn't see anything pertaining to AMD hardware "encoding" support though. It seems like it should have happened by now, with Divx playa supporting ATI hardware decoding in the past, it sure would be sweet to equip their new pro encoder with hardware acceleration.

Seems like were always waiting for these features to materialize.
