Was the asus P4T-E the board that I heard could overclock memory?
If so, what do you change in the bios to get 800mhz rdram to run at 1066mhz?

UPDATE:

I'm going with the P4T533-C.

Only if the P4T-E you have has the CLS Rdram clock generators and not the CYP clock generators.

Ok, thanks.

Update:

I was editing this post with some questions but while I was in the process you answered my original question for this post and the ones I was adding. :) And now I've forgotten what the original post was and why I'm editing this post anyway so I'm writing this.
If that makes any sense. ;)

I would recommend the Gigabyte GA8IHXP or the Asus P4T533-C. They are both close in terms of performance but the Gigabyte has more features. Both will make that P4 2.5 perform to it's utmost. And both overclock the Rdram quite nicely to pc1200 levels. The fsb goes higher on the Gigabyte, 200 I believe. The Asus gets up to 156 through the dipswitches in jumper mode. Get Kingston or Samsung Pc1066 32 ns rdram if it is available in your area. There is Mushkin too which is rebagged Kingston which is 32ns and works quite well. Have fun. Oh yeah and to make it pc1066 in the bios select 4X and not auto. Whatever you do, if you do get the Asus P4T533-C upon first boot make sure you take it off of Auto and select 4X or else it won't boot at all. It's a known bug the board has which I'm sure they are working on.

wow thanks a lot.
If the memory doesn't come with a heatspreader do I need to get one, or are heatspreaders only with DDR? Thanks again.

UPDATE:
Can you show me some 512mb 800mhz rdram that is compatible with P4T533-C. I'm confused. I am hearing things that I have to install in pairs and that this memory won't work with this MoBo etc., can you just show me some that will be compatible, or tell me the model I need. I want to keep the price around $200-$240. Thanks.

The P4TE is designed for 100 FSB, and therefore the PC800 RDRAM and the P4-A. The P4T533-C (NOT its troubled sibling the P4T533) is essentially the same, except it is improved some (with the I850E chipset, better clock generators, etc) for a 133 FSB, and therefore the PC1066 RDRAM and the P4-B. Both these boards use the older RDRAM modules that do need to be installed in pairs. If you're looking for 512 Mb total, then get two 256 Mb sticks. There are four memory slots on the board, so you can add another pair later if you want.

Of course, people have been using 100 FSB boards like the P4TE to overclock by increasing their FSB, and some lucky folks have even reached the 133 FSB level with their PC800 RDRAM and P4-A's. But there are other less lucky ones who haven't. If I were already buying a 133 FSB board like the P4T533-C, then I'd carefully compare the difference in cost between the 100 FSB and 133 FSB memory and CPUs. Perhaps the extra bucks is worth the guarantee of reaching at least 133 FSB.

Good Luck

You kinda confused me there.
I basically need to know if all of this will work together and me be able to overclock my memory and cpu:

Intel Pentium4 2.5ghz (overclocking)

ASUS P4T533-C Motherboard

2 x 256mb 800mhz RDRAM (overclocking)
