Can the abit bh6 rev ss take 256 pc133 ram? Just wondering ???

I wanted to know if my old motherboard would recognize 256 dimms. I could get 256 infineon at the computer show for 88 bux and would like to know if it works with my system.

I am not sure what "rev ss" means. if you mean BIOS version SS, that implies motherboard version 1.01. If so, then I have one running at home with 256MB Kingston ValueRAM PC100 @ 124 FSB.

Note all 256MB sticks are not equal! I have seen messages stating that the BX based motherboards (and the BH6 is one of them) do not take high-density RAMs. Either that statement is incorrect, or the Kingston is not high-density.

Yeah, the BH6 (at least mine) won't take high density RAM. Well it will, but only recognize it as 128 I think... I'm actually going to pick up some RAM later today that will hopefully work. If it does (or doesn't) I'll be sure to let you know...
