Can the 9700 autodetect a TV on startup?

Can I unplug my Radeon 9700 from my monitor, move it to a TV, and have the drivers automatically detect the presence of a TV? I'd like to be able to move from monitor to TV without changing display settings beforehand, if possible. I've had some trouble with GF3/4s and having to lug a monitor around in case the TV wasn't displaying.

I would think so. With my old geforce3 and my geforce 4, I just plugged in the tv to the card, and selected it in the preferences(it set up the same as dual monitors). You may have to plug in both for a minute to set it up, but I'm not sure.
