Im surprised, how it even ran 3dmark!
THe result i got is about 350 3dmarks.

Damn...I remember when my 800MHz Athlon was considered just under top of the line. I think I used to pull 5,000-6,500 on it w/ a sub Radeon 7500
 
I would love to join in, but my 486 DX2-66 with a 1MB Cirrus Logic Card and 32MB Ram refused to install the benchmark let alone run it. And to give you an idea, when I ran Mobil 1 Rally Championship on it (just for a laugh), it actually installed (on minimal 10MB install only), and ran all of the intro sequence at about 1 frame per second, but crashed when presented with anything remotely resembling 3D.

I did manage to put on Direct X 8.0 however, that was funny, even the DX tests really struggled 😛

i810??!! Whoa! I would be like this :Q, if anybody had a i820! I really want to see the results of somebody with a Ciryx CPU, or some of those other OG ones.
I forgot to menrtion, that on my K6 266 the test ONLY ran at 640x480, 16 bit. Thats an important thing i left out.
 
TomsHardware did something similar showing CPU scaling from p1 to preset, but I can't find the link in their "video" and "processor" sections.
 
Hey if only I had 512MB Ram, and a Radeon 9700 Pro back in the days when I was using a Pentium 166! lol

Just think though - this goes to prove that even without CPU advancement, the other hardware (most notibly the GPU's) have improved vastly to such an extent that you can have decent results from a Pentium 166 🙂



I remember when I had an Athlon 1200 C paired with a GeForceIIGTS, I thought that was fast, but then I plugged in my Radeon 9700 Pro and everything went about 6 times faster! lol. CPU's aint all they craked up to be. Heck my company still uses Pentium 266's for over a dozen office workers, and they are fine for MS Office 2K and all that.

I ran mine at 1024x768 ... close to default as it would go. I'll upload the saved results later. 😛

My old compaq celery 500MHz with voodoo4 PCI, got a whooping 600 3D marks in 2k1, lmao what a piece of junk, my current computer gets close ta 13000(vid card limited)... wow what a difference, and that other computer is almost 4 years old.
