Can`t set up sata raid on a 7NNXP?? Help??

Trying to figure this out for a friend. He has a gigabyte 7NNXP and 2 WD Raptors 36.7 , 10,000 rpm HD.It freezes up during install. Once it installed,but kept rebooting. Can`t get it to install again. The manual instructions will not work. 256 X 4 mushkin pc3200 222 ram. On the phone now with him, any help will be appreciated 11:58 PM CST

If it has GigaRaid - turn that off in the bios if you are using the Si 3112a.

Thanks, I gave him the message. I haven`t had a chance to check it out myself yet.

BTW you have to so alt/F2 to get into the advanced section of the bios.
