Can`t Defrag

I have two 40 gig hard drives set up in Raid 0. Does anyone know why i can`t defrag the drives? Have windows XP. Defrag locks up. Is there another program software i could get in order to defrag my hard drives?
 
do a search for diskkeeper. I think they have a free trial version. Much better than Micro$oft defrag. If you're running 2000 it already comes bundled with it though. Hope this helps.
