Can;t add new hd to XP...

I have a BE6 with the highpoint 366 controller. I have reflashed my bios to get the latest controller version. The bios recognizes the new WD 120 GB hd, but windows freezes before I can even boot. Anyone know how to get around this?

Have you tried recoping the XP ntoskrnl from the cd to its folder (Windows root\system32\ntoskrnl.exe) or FD the MBR?

or

Recovery Console ?? If you didn't install the recover console just boot with XP CD-ROM and choose for repair\ manualy repair for the NTLDR

or

Edit your Boot.ini

well...I finally got something to work...

I have 4 hard drives, and 2 cd roms...3 of the HD are dma66 or better. For some odd reason windows will not load if I have the 3 66+ on the highpoint controller

I guess I also forgot to add that I'm trying to get this new hd as part of my normal system. It's only when I added teh 120gb drive taht I started getting problems.
