Can Starforce be safely uninstalled?

When I first came across Starforce in my device list I just disabled, figuring it was from an uninstalled firewall or something like that. After reading what Starforce is I used protection-ID to find the culprit: Killswitch. The question is, can I safely use starforce cleaner to remove all starforce related files and still use the game?

PS: I bought this game, and I'm not seeking to make any "backup-copies"

As far as I know all star-force enabled games need Starforce running in order to operate.
I personally refuse to purchase games that use this type of protection.
