Run this from terminal:
ping -c 100 192.168.0.1

(insert your router's IP)

I get between 20-35% packet loss with my wife's MacBook and my MacBook Pro. Even with the router literally 2 ft away from the laptops. I've been googling and trying things for hours and wanted to find someone who has a "working" macbook-router combination. So, please post if you get good results (or bad) and what router and Mac OS X version your using. Thanks!

0% Packet Loss
OS X 10.4.10
Netgear Router (can't remember the model #, it is an older 802.11b router though)

I have 2 windows machines on wireless that get 0% packet loss, so I think it is a mac issue. I've been using a wired connection, which is a pain, but the only way I can not throw the laptops out the window at this point.

I'm going to try a different wireless router this weekend.

Try changing the channel first.
