Can someone unrefund a refund on Paypal?

A transaction went south on one of my eBay purchases and the seller refunded me my payment. I'm going to send the item back (currently being worked out) but can the seller unrefund the refund after he gets the item back?

I wouldn't worry, the seller could always refund the unrefunded refund if you threatened them... not sure if they can unrefund the refund of the unrefunded refund though
