Can someone try to download this driver from Intel site and let me know what happens?

I'm setting up an Intel NUC Kit NUC5i7RYH (http://www.amazon.com/Intel-NUC5i7RYH-Barebone-System-BOXNUC5I7RYH/dp/B00WAS1FX6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446353662&sr=8-1&keywords=Intel%C2%AE+NUC+Kit+NUC5i7RYH) and installed Windows 10 64 bit onto it. I was able to install all the drivers from the Intel website for it accept the Wireless Intel® Wireless adapter drivers for Intel® NUC. When I download the 107.03 MB file from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...-Intel-Wireless-adapter-drivers-for-Intel-NUC and click on it nothing happens at all. No driver install prompt or anything appears, I'm guessing the driver file Intel has on their download server is corrupt or something? 😵 I downloaded the same driver but for the Windows 8.1 64 bit version just to see what would happen and that one opened up fine after I clicked on the .exe file but obviously I didn't want to install it since I'm not running that OS. I also downloaded the Windows 10 64 bit driver on another computer and again, when I click on the .exe downloaded file nothing happens.

Anyways, I was hoping someone on here could download the file and click on it to see if you get any kind of install prompt, obviously don't proceed with installing the driver at all just let me know what happens.

If someone could go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...-Intel-Wireless-adapter-drivers-for-Intel-NUC and make sure you download the one that says Wireless_Win10_64_18.12.4.exe that is 107.03 MB.

Thanks for anyone that tries this! If it doesn't work for any of you as well I'm going to have to send an e-mail to Intel I guess and let them know their Windows 10 64 bit Wireless driver on their website is corrupt.

Neither the 32 bit or the 64 bit does anything beyond Win10 asking if I want to run it.

After that, nothing happens.

Looking into the exe with 7-zip, it looks like the main file is named [0].

Thanks for trying it out! I checked out that link you posted, that guy posted about this same issue on Oct 8th so it's been a known issue at least since then and Intel has yet to fix it.....that doesn't instill much hope in me :'(

Why don't you try the W8.1 driver? It might work and I don't think it will harm your system. Make a clone though before you do that just in case.

I'm hesistant to do that in case it causes issues down the road, the wireless still works on this Intel NUC without this wireless driver so it's not a huge deal. I always like to install all of the drivers for a computer even if the driver I'm trying to install is for something that is working already. I'm going to reach out to Intel and see if anything gets done.

Hey Gig,
I am the same way with drivers sometimes. But in a situation like this you might just want to leave it alone. You know, the old saying.... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

Just a thought... best of luck
