Can Someone tell me whats a PCI Mass Storage Controller?

Can someone tell me whats that BS is about please? my firends computer has apparently conflicts and that is the note he is getting.

Note: Some applications that do not explicitly support anti-aliasing may not
display properly, or may render irregular images. Use this option with
care. Turn this option off if you experience display problems with a
game or application that does not support anti-aliasing.

So again, can someone explain to me the logic behind it, what it does, and what it is for and how can i fix it?

Is it listed under 'Other Devices' in device manager? Mine says that when my ATA/66 drivers aren't installed, such as after formatting. Then once they are installed it is listed under 'Scsi Controllers'.

The PCI Mass Storage Controller is your Hard Disk(s) controller.

That error message has absolutely nothing to do with it. If your mass controller is not configured properly Windows will drop back to DOS compatibility mode for all of its hard drives until you fix the problem.

Does your friend own a kt7/a raid? If he does, tell him to install the raid drivers for windows. can be downloaded at here Also, manuals are quite useful, just my opinion 😉

Hes got a TBird on an A7v Asus mobo... so I guess he would be using Kt7\a
His also having problems with the video card, is there a possibility these would conflict?

Ill tell him to get those drivers (are they the via 4 in 1 drivers?) If they are, they dont work for him.

Your friend needs the promise controller drivers from the Asus website. The 4 in 1 drivers need to also be loaded, but they are not for the promise controller, they are for the VIA controller chip (AGP and other functions).
