can someone tell me what zenworks and groupwise are and what they do?

Just go to www.novell.com and read about it.

GroupWise is Novell's enterprise e-mail and scheduling software, comparable to MS Exchange except it scales better.

ZenWorks (ZEN= Zero Effort Networking) is a suite of programs that simplifies network management and support. Includes remote control of client PC's, remote app installation, desktop security policies, etc.

Both of them are integrated into NDS (and Netware Administrator program) so you have single-point administration of all your network apps and services.
