Hey guys, i'm sure those of you who saw the movie fight club remember that hillarious speach by chloe... well if you don't remember, here it is:

Narrator: Oh yeah, Chloe... Chloe looked how Meryl Streep's skeleton would look if you made it smile and walk around the party being extra nice to everyone.
Chloe: Well, I'm still here. But I don't know for how long. That's as much certainty as anyone can give me... I have some good news: I no longer have any fear of death. [audience claps] But I am in a pretty lonely place. No one will have sex with me. I'm so close to the end and all I want is to get laid for the last time... I have pornographic movies in my apartment, lubricants, and amyl nitrate...
[the group leader takes the mic]
Group Leader: Everyone, let's thank Chloe.

Question: what does amyl nitrate do? I read on some website that it's a muscle relaxant, but i don't understand how it is used sexually.

It's called "poppers" by the gay community. It was called "rush" by the dead heads when I was growing up.

It comes in a little vile, and you sniff the fumes to get a rush. Some men supposedly find it enhances sex. I guess it acts kinda like the noose around the neck crap some people do.

What ever floats your boat, I guess...

similar to whip-its, or other forms of oxygen deprivation like huffing paint thinners, spot removers (tetrachloroflurine?).

Don't think it actually kills brain cells directly, but oxygen deprivation does kill brain cells.

NAME: AMYL NITRATE, POPPER/SNAPPER, BUTYL NITRATE
CLASSIFICATION: Hallucinogen
TYPE: Synthetic Legal.

STREET NAMES: for butyl nitrate: bullet, Jac blaster, heart on, aroma of man, locker room, poppers and rush.

EXPLANATION: Amyl nitrate is in a small mesh covered ampule that is popped or snapped to release the vapors. Butyl nitrate is sold in a very small bottle in "head shops" or in special stores advertised as a room odorizer or liquid incense. It is sometimes sold in the ampules too. Especially used in the homosexual population as a muscle relaxant and a vasodilating agent to enhance orgasm; the perception of time is also altered.

METHOD OF USE: Inhalation.

DURATION OF ACTION: 30 sec. to 5 mins.

DETECTION IN URINE SCREENING: Not done in a routine drug panel.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS: Light headed, dizzy, slowed perception of time.

PHYSICAL EFFECTS: Headache, flushing of the face, decreased in blood pressure, increase pulse, dizziness, relaxation of involuntary muscles especially the blood vessel walls and the anal sphincter.

WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS: None.

OVERDOSE SYMPTOMS: Nausea, vomiting, decreased blood pressure and respiration, fainting, coldness of the skin. Possible circulatory collapse and death.

It's not something to play around with. It's proper use is as a treatment for a type of heart disease called angina.

Also, the use of poppers has been associated with increased complications in people with AIDS. The majority of AIDS victims who suffer from Kaposi's Sarcoma were users of Amyl Nitrate, and died far faster... hinting abuse of the drug compromises the immune system considerably.

Widespread amyl nitrites use among the earliest AIDS cases drove speculation that they contributed to immune suppression. Evidence that amyl nitrites cause any significant degree of immune suppression is sparse and very little research on the subject is recent.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to register for an account and clear up this dilemma we've had for 14 years. God bless you sir.
