Can someone tell me the differneces about 370 stuff

Can someone tell me the differences of the 370 Celeron and the 370 Pentium 3

I have Celeron chips that are green on top and some that are silver and black

I have Pent-3 chips that are green on top.

I notice that they do no interchage in most Mother Boards.

Is there a way of adopting them and/or telling which mother board will run which chips ?

It seems most mother boards run the silver and black..
