can someone tell me HOW to get xp home to work with this

I am trying to use a little sandisk 1G mp3 player.
With Pro you plug it in...all is fine and you can move files with explorer and no problems.

Home is BS
It sees the unit and gives me a box saying do nothing or move files using windows media player. I don't want to use microcrap I want to just move files with explorer but Neither option will show the drive. I can only use the damn crap media player to see the drive...what is the problem with home that pro does not have?

Is there anyway to make home add this unit as a drive and not something that only media player can see and use?
 
Different media player versions maybe? There is nothing different in home vs pro in this regard, so it's different sw versions or someone selected some option the first time the item was plugged in which is now remembered.

When installed on the Home machine, are you saying the drive does NOT show up in explorer?

nope...won't show up in explorer.
When the unit is first plugged in it shows an MTP Media Player in the tool bar.
If you select do nothing thats what it does nothing.

never shows up after that.

XP pro shows it shows up as an audio device under explorer.
