Can someone suggest a good quality PCI sound card that works w/Linux

I've got a Soundblaster PCI512 that I can't get to work with my Debian Linux. Does anyone know if there are other sound cards of similar quality that will work. Either that, or is there another version of Linux that is capable of working with this card.

I've used my Diamond MX300 (Aureal Vortex2) PCI card with Red Hat 6.x successfully. All the others I've tried have been ISA.

I've used a Soundblaster 16 PCI in Redhat 6.2 and 7.0 and it works fine. Most cards based on an ES137x chipset (such as the SB 16 PCI) are well supported in most operating systems.

I have SB AWE64 that works well in Linux, but not the sound quality you are looking for...
