I can't recall exactly how to say it properly, but there's a way you can make it so the windows shell and internet explorer are not linked. For example, you open up a folder and in the address bar type google.com and it won't take you there. I set it so mine was disabled a while back, but now I have need to set it back. Can anyone tell me how to fix this again?

Hey, he's got something that's broken. Isn't it your job to fix it?

I would think that you would need to look for a reg key somewhere in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrrentVersion\Explorer\Associations "Application" ??

or maybe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ "integrated browser" change value to 0?

I was gonna post in OS, but I was afraid they would take a year to answer. If I've committed a carnal sin by posting here, you can lock my thread...

Just ask to get the thread moved over to OS. People over there will know for sure.

OP, why not just get rid of the toolbars you don't want and apply to all folders?
