Rachmoninoff is my favorite composer. I like most all of his stuff, though in particular Vocalise.

Chopin has a lot of nice pieces as well.

Holst-The Planets (thirded - you gotta check this one out)
Brahm's Requiem
Bach, Chopin, Rachmoninoff, and Debussey are also all good.

well composers are important, but it actually makes a HUGE difference who is conducting and which orchestra its done by.

:)
