Stuff like -

'I shouldn't be alive'
'Bizarre foods with Andrew Zim'
'24 Hours A&E'
'Life savers'
'16 kids and counting'
'Embarrassing bodies'
etc etc.

You can call these documentaries I guess? But you get the idea. I like watching 'REAL LIFE' documentaries. It can be anything. I'm really bored. :)

Any suggestions?

Really appreciated!

Who killed the electric car?

Food, inc.

Senna

Vito

There is a series of great documentaries about the problems classic films faced during production. I just saw the one about "Scarface"; it was very interesting.

there's a series called Vanguard on the "Current" channel, which I get on my Dish Network package...full of documentaries on current events. So look up Vanguard.

Smartest Guys was pretty good too.

Also, I saw this documentary called "Zeitgeist" recently, which from your description isn't really what you're looking for...but anyways...its a take on religion basically. Zeitgeist was interesting but in the end I started looking into some claims made by the movie and it seemed that most of the claims were refuted by solid evidence.

I've never heard of the documentaries you list.

A few months ago I got into them. A few I recommend...

This guy has a great series on his process of losing faith in religion. I personally am *not* a fan of the nasty atheism you see in Christopher Hitchen or Richard Dawkins or Sam Harris, but I found the series interesting.

I think this is the one I saw a few months ago. It is about Arminius, a Germanic leader who was a naturalized Roman, and was actually pretty well-treated by them, rising pretty highly in their society, but in the end decided to betray Rome for his ethnic people. And ultimately, he was murdered by a rival Germanic chieftan.

Dear Zachary (this movie will kick your ass emotionally)
I Like Killing Flies ("unique" restaurant in NYC)
Encounters at the End of the World (people in Antarctica)
Confessions of a Superhero (about people that dress up as super heroes on Hollywood Blvd ?)
Beautiful Losers (I apparently like this one but I don't remember it at all...)
Once Brothers (ESPN 30 for 30, Vlade Divac its good)
King of Kong (awesome, about setting classic arcade game records, specifically Donkey Kong)
6 Degrees of Helter Skelter (about the Manson family)
This Film Is Not Yet Rated (about Hollywood's rating system)

Pulling John (about arm wrestling its actually pretty damn good)

There's one about that guy that goes apeshit while doing those RV commercials in the 80s. I don't remember what its called though and Netflix has a shitty way of letting you look up movies you've seen of specific genres.

I vaguely remember this one. It was a lot better than I was expecting based on the description.

Master Chef (BBC)

If you want documentaries, that's different - things like 'The Corporation'.
