Can Someone Recommend Me A Lower Wattage Replacement for an HD 4670 [Solved]

So I'm looking to build an ITX setup and would like to replace my HD 4670 512MB, with something that has the same capabilities but uses significantly less power/wattage. I game at 720p and the 4670 plays everything I need it to play at 60fps or more.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

The CPU being used is a G3258 currently at 4GHZ with stock voltage.

R7 240 or a GT 730

Can I ask why you need significantly lower power consumption?

The HD 4670 use very little power as it is (70W TDP - doesn't require a six pin connector).

A GeForce 750 Ti will consume roughly the same power but it will be several times faster. That is probably the fastest card you can get and keep power consumption the same.

Otherwise, an R7 240 will use half the power and should be considerably faster.

It's more about heat output really, lower power, less heat and probably less noise. Thank you for the recommendations.

It might even be possible to find passively cooled versions of the GeForce 730 or Radeon R7 240. The problem with that is that the heat they produce still has to go somewhere - ie into your case. But it does mean one less fan.

EDIT:

One more thing to be aware of. If you are looking at GeForce 730 cards, do not buy the one that has 96 CUDA cores. They are older, and will use more power. Get 730's that have 384 CUDA cores (or streaming processors, or whatever) at minimum.

Try to get a card with 128 bit DDR3, instead of 64 bit DDR3. 128 bit GDDR5 will be the best memory available for your needs, but will cost more and uses a little more power.

I'd recommend an R7 250 over a 240. 384 stream processors vs 320, should still have about the same power consumption. If you can, buy a GDDR5 model instead of DDR3. A 240 is just so anemic, it's not worth the purchase. Here's a rather scathing 240 review:

Yeah, I want to be clear that I wasn't actually recommending either of those cards, just that they fit your criteria.

You would get better advice if you fill in a few details for us.

Budget
Case you are going to use
Power supply you have
What your noise tolerance is.
How important heat actually is, you aren't going to notice + or - 30 watts either way.

With the right components you can actually go completely passive cooling and your PC will be silent. Or get it down to a single 140mm fan and be effectively silent but have more performance.

Lavaheadache put a 290x Lightning in a small case.

You can put something WAY faster than a 750 Ti in a small case if you got a good one and properly arrange your airflow.
