Can someone recommend me a good book?

The last book I read was this and am looking for something similar (I'm very interested in astronomy).

I'm trying to expand my knowledge of the universe so books that deal in that area would be prefered.

PS. Nothing to hard to understand either;)

I started a thread in Highly Technical requesting suggestions, just a few weeks ago. If you search over there, you'll be able to find that thread. (I posted it there to avoid nef threads with idiotic suggestions, which this thread, thus far, has bizarrely avoided)

For pop-sci books, I recommend:

Black holes and Time Warps
In Search of Schrodinger's Cat / Kitten
The Fabric of the Cosmos
Q is for Quantum (So that you know what all of those words mean)
Three Roads to Quantum Gravity
Superstrings and the Search for the Theory of Everything (This one's a little more substantial)
Hyperspace
A History of Pi (If you like math)

I think I'm gunna go for: The Universe in a Nutshell, The Elegant Universe, and A Brief History of Time

Should I drop/replace any of these?

Maybe even The Fabric of the Cosmos idk..

Stephen Baxter's Manifold: Time and Manifold: Space wrap recent speculations in astronomy into SF novels that are both pretty good reads.

If you want to go very physics based, check out Stephen Hawkings: A Brief History of Time
If you want to go more spiritual, philosophical, consciousness based, check out David Hawkins: Power Vs. Force

Both are excellent.

All three are good choices.

After you read "Elegant Universe", "Faster Than the Speed of Light" is interesting.

You want to learn about the universe, but you don't want something that is hard to understand? ;)

Good luck there.

Many of the books mentioned in this thread are solid choices.

Relativity: The Special and the General Theory--A Clear Explanation that Anyone Can Understand by Einstein

This is Einstein's stab at making his work accessible to the general reader. It is very well done.
