I was trying ot figure out where to still getsystem shock2 and deus ex. I heard deus ex was really good gameplay wise but i still dont understand what it is, adventure? fps? good.

I'll look into freespace, but i'll probably need a new joystick for it too. my pnew pc no longer has any game ports. Does it work well on an joypad?

WOW i heard is realyl fun, but budget wise and time wise, im afraid i'll kill me.

Now and then a copy of SS2 still shows up for sale at these forums. If you post a wtb you may find one, but it's been going for $10-15, kind of scarce. The last time it was sold retail there was a classic edition of it for about $10, so go figure.

Deux Ex has been released a couple of times, even as bundled at one point I think, so there should be a lot of copies floating around. I've seen it for five or six bucks here numerous times. Be sure to get the full game, as there was a lame trial sort of edition sold in jewel case at stores like Target for a while. The sequel "Invisible Wars" isn't so hot, but not a disaster either.

There was a demo for System Shock 2. Maybe you could still find that online somewhere to see if it intrigues to you. I have it on a game magazine disk, so I could feasibly even burn you the demo if it came to that.

It's an FPS and RPG mixed together. You walk around in FPS view and do most of the game intereaction that way, but there are elements of RPGs (such as character development) also built into the game, and a great storyline.

Have you played Far Cry yet?

And, yes, finish HL2. Once you get off that buggy, you're good.

Mainly, I just get bored in the end and i just quit halfway through,(i'm still at driving the buggy in half life 2, got bored, quit). I've abandoned Dungeon Siege, Anaarchy Online, Diablo 1 and 2, Warcraft 3, max payne, ghost recon, etc...

can someone suggest me a game i would actually enjoy and play to the end, I'm really easily bored and I dont get attached to characters os i feel compelled to finish a game.

Hm. never finished one eh? sounds like we have some sort of fundamental problem here.

Maybe add drugs or alcohol to your game playing experience. Doesn't seem like the game addiction alone is hooking you.

If you get bored easily, maybe you need something that doesn't really have an ending, something you can just pick up and play.

I havent touched San Andreas in a while, Most wanted is done for me, so is underground. I'm just sorta angry you know. I spend $50 and i dont get the full benefit.

I think you need to just grit your teeth and get thru the boring parts of the games you have abandoned and never finished. Many games have boring sections in them and when that happens to me, i just keep pushing thru.. it will get better as you get passed that crappy borning parts in a game.

Also, when i finish a game, i have a sense of accomplishment atleast knowing that i played it all the way and got my money worth

Yeah, i just got back to playing most wanted. san andrreas, i'm stuck flying the rc plane, which has controls not at all decently mapped for my gamepad and due to the layout cant really be mapped comfortably so i just losre that mission over and over again(6 times and counting).

I just ordered freespace/deus ex/system shock 2 off of ebay and i'm waiting for shipping of warhammer 40k dawn of war.

I guess i will jsut griot my teeth to get past the boring parts. might as well ,it's pretty expensive and all.

I think i know the thing that will keep you amused. A GENESIS EMULATOR! Its amazing being able to play all those old games again, sonic 1/2/3 vectorman, phantasy star 4! amazing rpg! general chaos, and good ol zerowing, the game that spawned the "all your base are belong to us!" cult.

All you need to do is download GenS and get yourself a gamepad, ms sidewinder does me. Theyre good for playing for 10 minutes or 5 hours easily dependant on which game you choose, hassle free as all you do is load the rom file of your choice, rom file being the game itsself. Best thing is its really easy to use. Id say i had more trouble with IRC than any genesis emulator.

Or if your sad like a lot of my friends were, your a nintendo fan.... get a snes emulator and do the same thing.

Note: Its illegal unless you actually own the games.

Note2: Noone really cares about it being illegal as its not as if sega are gonna profit from these games.

 Sometimes a doobie can make GTA much more fun. Well, any game at that I guess.

OP do you only play the single player campaigns? I have usually don't have the patience for SP but I find MP more engaging, especially in games like Wc3 and SC. MP definately gives games more life.
