Well, I've been a gamer for a while but i never finish them which is distressing because i pay so muh for them. I've finished HL1(after a few years) BIA: road to Hill 30, all the CAll of Dutys, Starcraft, Red Alert 2, Chrono Trigger, and Wario Ware.

Mainly, I just get bored in the end and i just quit halfway through,(i'm still at driving the buggy in half life 2, got bored, quit). I've abandoned Dungeon Siege, Anaarchy Online, Diablo 1 and 2, Warcraft 3, max payne, ghost recon, etc...

can someone suggest me a game i would actually enjoy and play to the end, I'm really easily bored and I dont get attached to characters os i feel compelled to finish a game.

Do you like sports or racing games? Do you want something just for PC or PS2?

If you get bored easily, maybe you need something that doesn't really have an ending, something you can just pick up and play.

Knights of the Old Republic should keep your attention ... if you're a Star Wars fan.

Finish HL2, It's good. You have some RTS in the list so why not some more? C&C generals is good. Civ4 is good too, and it doesn't really have an end, so no need to worry there. If you can pick up FFVII for PS and can overlook the 90s graphics, that is the best game ever.

you don't get attached to any of the storylines? you've played a good number of games in pretty wide variety and if you don't care about any of them, then I don't think single-player is for you. play CS or something online. human intelligence >> artificial intelligence

I need something that is both immersive, and yet i can be satisified playing either 10 minutes or 5 hours. Most of the time i dont have very much time to play games, maybe an hour a day. sorta inturrupts story too much.

Civ4 is updated
I'll check out bulders gate
I was thinking of buying Warhammer40k Dawn of War rts thing. how is it? I know relic made it and Homewrold is one of thew few games, i've finished.

Baldurs Gate should certainly be worth it, I've heard good things about Dawn of War but not played it myself

Warhammer 40K is very fun IMHO, specially the skirmish.

I got all the way to the apparent end boss on Return to Castle Wolfenstein and it was pretty tough so I just stopped playing. I enjoyed getting there but not dying over and over.

Minesweeper.
Solitare.

And of course, the 1-on-1 console fighting games (Soaul Calibur, Tekken, etc.).

All Kidding aside, maybe Fallout 1/2? Those were the most enjoyable games I've played on my PC so far. Kinda old, but Great nontheless.

I'm playing Morrowind right now. It's pretty good. There's no "finishing" if you don't want to. There's a main story line, but you can ignore it if you want and do whatever.

Have you not played System Shock 2 or Deus Ex (the original)? I find that those are games that I can still replay now and then.

And although multiplayer isn't really available anymore, the original Battlezone is a nice immersive campaign. There are also updated textures and such, though it really looks quite good for it's age to begin with.

Definately try Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War.... worth picking up. Well balanced game and they've improved the AI significantly since its release. 1.40 and 1.41 have added better single playability. The story isnt great but voice acting is well done and multiplayer is quite well balanced for having 4 different sides.

Winter Assault is fun in my opinion but its getting a bit of a mixed reception. Id not feel comfortable to say to you "Buy Winter Assault' without first playing Dawn of War.

Relic done an excellent job of making the Warhammer 40k universe approachable to anyone. You dont need any WH40k experience or knowledge to pick up and have massive fun... deserved the Game of the Year title imo.

If you cant get attached to the story in Freespace2, you cant have much taste :). I know nobody who has disliked Freespace2. Its story is pretty basic but its extremely well told and combined with the action, it just immerses you into the universe. Storyline immersion on the level of FFVII in my opinion, just draws you in and wont let you out until your finished. It is quite old (1999 iirc) but its graphics have aged well and looks good enough at its max res, 1024x768 iirc.

I believe Freespace 2 is now Open Source and do a google for FreePort which Imports Freespace 1's Campaign into the Freespace 2 graphics engine. 2 of the greatest games of all time and definately best in the pure action, space-based combat genre.
