Can someone recommend me a decent soundcard that won't break the bank?

I am sick of messing with my on board sound...and trying to get a mic to work...

Anything that is recommended under 100 bucks?
 
After reading up on the differences of the ASUS XONAR_DG 5.1 sounds like a good option if you are generally using headphones (which I am).

Would you guys recommend an upgrade from current headphones?

I have the steelseries 5Hv2...they seem decent enough but I have never owned a different pair...
 
Headroom maintains a pretty good list of headphones at a range of price points. They usually have pretty decent prices as well, but you should obviously shop around.
