Can someone recommend good gaming headset

As stated, looking for a good comfortable headset that will cover my ear with that soft earpiece. Will be playing online games like battlefield, etc. Would like to keep price under $50

trying to do searhes of this forum but nothing recent came up.

I was just about to make a post asking the same question, so I'll post in here instead of making a new thread.

Anyone have any ideas? Willing to spend around $100, would also like a soft leather earpiece rather than earbuds, and a good quality mic.

zalman clip-on mic. good quality and sensitivity, and under $10
using that mic with my sony mdr-sa1000's(id recommend these, but you want to spend under $100)
those headphones are a bit more than $50
but if you can push your budget to like $65-70, id definitely recommend them

Icemat Siberia

Gonna be right on the cusp of your budget, although should be easily under with rebate.

My only beef is that it doesn't have the mic built into the headphones with its own little arm. Not that big of a deal though, I just clip the mic onto the cord near my neck and it works perfectly fine. Decided to get these ones last year simply because of the audio quality and the comfort factor something like the Sennheiser couldn't deliver.

If you already have a decent pair of headphones, I also have the Zalman clip-on mic which works just as well as the mic provided with the Icemat headset.

I second the Icemat Siberia. I've fell asleep while listening to music as i was laying in bed so they are really comfortable

Personally, I'm a fan of my CyberAcoustic headset. Went to my local best buy about 30mins away, paid $25.00 for 'em, didn't have to worry about shipping and handling, got home plugged em in, and been rockin em ever since along with my Logitech Z-2300 speakers. The ones i got from best buy had an entirely adjustable mic that can be plugged in and out of the headset itself, so if you wanna take em on a trip and don't need the mic, leave it at home. Friend of mine got the exact same ones and when we play Battlefield 2 which we wanted them for, they're as clear as a bell, we can hear each other nice and clear. Plus they're the reason why i got the Logitech Z-2300 speakers because i have a Audigy 2 ZS sound card and these made my old Altec Lansing VS2121s sound like crap, realized what i had been missing. So in actuallity they ended up consting me $125.00, $25 for the CyberAcoustic headset and $100 for the Logitech 2.1 speakers. Good deal in my book.

I would stay away from USB headphones. They usually come at a price premium and offer little benefit except for possibly saving those who do not have any sort of soundcard to begin with. Besides, with a traditional set you can use it for other audio devices outside of the computer...
