Can someone recommend an upgrade?

Here are my system specs :

1.4 ghz. athlon 266 fsb
ecs k7s5a
ibm 45 gig deskstar 75gxp
Asus V6600 32 MB Geforce
Philips AE
Creative DTT2200
Intellimouse 3.0
LG 52x drive
Iomega 8x4x32..........does SD2

My budget is around 80 usd...........I'm not sure about what I want but I can tell you that the new Liteon 40x is on my mind......I'm also thinking about getting a DVD drive or a better video card.........The only reason why I want to upgrade is coz. my bro is coming from the US and I dont want him to return empty handed

Well, its up to you whether you want a DVD or Video Card, but if you want a vid card, get a GF2 Ti

I would spend it on a APEX standalone DVD player I see them as low as $67

Get a gf3 ti4200 for $180, look in hot deals

If you are a gamer, get a new graphics card. Go with a (I hate to actually suggest this) GeForce 4 MX440 or a Radeon 7500. They will give you the best performance for your budget.

If anyone here has ever been forced to use an ECS K7S5A, then you'll agree that it needs to go 1st thing. I recommend an nForce board.
