I'm 99% sure my system troubles are a bad PS. Its an Enermax EG465AX-VE, and it looks to be toast.

I'd like something at least 450W. I'm not gonna say money no object, but I'm willing to pay a little extra for a quality PS.

Suggestions please.

Antec TruPower series are nice quality PSUs. They have a separate fans-only power connector that's temperature regulated, so it helps keep the case quiet unless there's a need for extra cooling. (The 2 built-in PSU fans are also thermo-regulated.) That makes it easy to run 3-4 case fans without a bunch of extra noise.

I have a TruPower 330W that I'm very pleased with. I've had no problems at all, and the V-monitor still shows consistent, stable voltage readings in operation. (See system rig link below; I built that computer in June).

The TruPower 430W is $76 shipped from Newegg. The 380W model does seem to have a few problems from the reviewers, so I'd avoid that one. I know you said you wanted 450+ watts, but unless you're running a lot of extras in your system, the Tru 430 W should be fine for almost anyone.

I agree with Theg I have the Antec SL 400w 2 fans with SmartPower $60.00 ( not the Tru Power) and it is quiet.

Thanks for the suggestions! I went with an Antec True430W.
