ok i'm not sure if this is the right forum to post in, but the video forum seems to be about graphics cards ....

i was wondering what software is good for editing videos. i recently purchased the casio exilim s600 which is VERY good at taking videos (30 fps) and its a tiny camera thats like a centimeter thick that fits easily in my pocket. so i've been taking a ton of video with it and am wondering what a good software is for editing?

i havent really played around with windows movie maker that comes with XP. but i want a software that can:

make certain parts play in slow motion
have transitions like fading out
splice in still images like text
allow me to easily put text or other graphics on top of the video (such as ending credits)
add music
add sound effects
add special effects

something along those lines. is windows movie maker good enough? i'm willing to spend 50 - 100$ on a good program.

I've tried several and by far Sony Vegas DVD is the best. Fits your price range and is frequently on sale AR.
