can someone recommend a burning program other than Nero 6?

I may be a little slow but I can't even figure out how to use Nero 6. I used to use the old version of Nero in conjunction with DVD Shrink and it was so simple to rip and copy movies, never had one problem. Now that they have "improved" Nero I sit here staring at their spiffy new GUI with all the bells and whistles... pulling my friggen hair out not having a clue as to how to get the ripped movie on to a DVD -R.

I really don't want anyone to help me fix my Nero problem because frankly, I'm completely fed up with Nero at this point. Is there another program out there that a newbe like me can use, something simple would be nice. :)

Rip to ISO and use DVDDecrypter. You can use IMGTool to create an ISO of your DVD files.

MustISO,
I already have several DVD's ripped to my HD. Do you mean that I can use IMGTool to convert these files to ISO?

Nero is simple enough already, and DVDShrink should automatically burn the files to a DVD without you having to fumble with the Nero GUI.

That's correct. If you have files in ifo, vob, etc. you can use imgtool to create an ISO. Just create a VIDEO_TS folder and put all the files in there.

Here's how to automatically rip/transcode and burn with DVD Shrink in 1 step (requires 2 drives- a dvd-rom and dvd-r):
1) place blank dvd in burner, and movie in dvd-rom
2) when you click the Backup! button, a new dialog box pops up- choose Target-> ISO Image and burn with DVD Decrypter
3) Done! Under the options tab you can also make the pc automatically shutdown when finished

And as already stated, if you don't have 2 drives, you can simply rip to iso and burn manually with DVD Decrypter
