My buddies daughter drug a magnet across their computer screen the other day(she wanted to see if the magnet stuck to computers), so now he wants to spend around $200 for an LCD, but it needs to be analog. His PC does not have the white digital connector. He says 17" is sufficient.

Can someone point me to the best 17" analog LCD? Thank you all.

Pretty much any LCD is going to have an analog input. I haven't seen any with DVI only (and not in that pricerange either).

Did your buddy try degaussing the CRT? That usually clears up distortion caused by a magnet.

I picked up a Viewsonic @ office depot 2 weeks ago for about 180.00, 17", speakers, vga and dvi input. Last week I got 2 at Fry's (outpost.com) for 200.00 each, no speakers, vga and dvi input.
