Hi there guy's

The time has come for my to get a GED. I found like 10 online websites that will send you the study materials and such. But what one is the best? Price is not an issue at this point. Going in person to a local school may be doable but im on a super tight schedule. Due to us buying a house.

I read allot about this site. www.passged.com What do you guys think?

(I droped out due to family reasons)

Typically, a local HS or CC (high school / community college) should offer free adult education classes at night for people just like you. From what I've heard, they really help. Did I mention that they're FREE and AT NIGHT.

Bookstores like Barnes & Noble should have test prep books with sample tests. Buy one or two, then take the tests as realistically as possible (in one sitting, no interruptions or Googling) to find your weak spots.

Buy more books to study up on your weak spots.

Nothing wrong with a GED, it proves you know the material better than many kids who slept through high school.

Another vote for the local community college system for the GED...werked fer me...not sure how well I'd trust an on-line GED source...There ARE certain standards involved with the testing...such as timed tests, closed books, etc..

I'm with the others suggesting your local community college. They will have a great support system for you. Several of my friends got their GEDs that way and they even helped them find jobs.

Another option is to check out your local and state sponsored job assistance offices. They not only offer you assistance with GED's, but you may also be qualified for assistance with college through some of thier programs should you decide to pursue that route. Look into the Work Force Investment Act or WIA.

not being a smartass but there is a GED for Dummies book that your library should have availible. if nothing else it will cover what you missed in school, like basic algebra, and good paper writing tips.
