Can someone reccomend a good software for testing memory?

What's a good software for testing memory? Will it tell me if the memory is good or bad? Where do I find such a software?

Thanks

ram often either works fine with no hiccups or works badly and won't work at all - no in between. So usually if u can boot into windows, ur fine.

but a couple of intensive 3D games/benchmarks will ensure ram is ship shape.

Winzip. Take a directory of 10,000 files (sub-dirs too) at 2.6 gig's total and zip them with FULL compression into a single file.

This will test your PC to the gills! hehehe...

I did it today at work. 😉 On a dual 500mhz/256ram PC it took 35 minutes to do it. hehe

actually prime 95 works well. I find often errors are caused by memory. Th lucas Lehmer test works fine. (Part fo prime 95)

Norton's Utilites also has good diagnostics that will test your memory. It helped me find a bad stick in my system.
