can someone point me in the direction of the demonized financial deregulation put in place by the republicans?

Smart people understand it was bad regulation, but it's just too easy for the commies to claim it was free market that did this because the public won't know any better.

Exactly. The Republicans aren't de-regulators, they're just corrupt. ;)

Seriously though, ideology has nothing to do with the current economic situation. Besides the fact that it's an election year, I don't know why people have to keep playing blame games over a good old fashioned market bust.

:Q

Maybe you should go reread a zillion of your own posts and ask yourself that question.

Maybe you should get a brain and realize that those posts were for the purpose of debunking your partisan hackery and FUD.

That about sums it up.

Anytime I hear someone say "well this is what you get when you let capitalism run wild", I know I can add that person to my "Idiots who are barely smart enough to breathe" list.

Well add yourself to that list.

These creative financial instruments are 100% to blame for this mess, instruments that were previously illegal.

Spin all you want, but your head is full of total shit.

search, been mentioned a million times in other threads. Try Googling the names of McCains Advisors.

In other words, no, you cant link to it.

Congrats.

self-pwn much?

I Googled Frank Raines... was that the right guy?

Maybe by your definition of Self Pwn, but you should be asking 351 the question.

Of course ;) When you hack, there's a purpose. When someone else hacks, there's no purpose at all.

Got it

No, you are wrong. The derivatives grew BECAUSE the securitized products grew. They exploded together and CDS was the result of hedging the securities.

That's like saying there would be no accidents if car insurance were illegal because people would drive safer.

Looks like your head is full of shit.

Wow... talk about shithead trolling. You're just pathetic.

You wanna quit derailing this thread and go back to the other thread where you got pwned, just bump it back up. You can keep pushing your ridiculous hack agenda posting over and over again about how the housing crisis was all Clinton's and the Dems fault for helping minorities own homes, and I can keep posting WhiteHouse.gov press releases and speeches with Bush pushing aggressively for minority homeownership through the GSE's and FHA with his America's Homeownership Challenge pet program.
